Indian Journal of Renewable Energy (IJRE) is dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality and integrity in the research it publishes. Our peer review policy is a cornerstone of this commitment, ensuring that all manuscripts undergo a rigorous and unbiased evaluation process. The goal of our peer review process is to enhance the quality of the research we publish by providing constructive feedback and ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and originality of the submissions.

Peer Review Process:
1. Initial Submission: Upon submission, each manuscript is first reviewed by the editorial office for compliance with the journal’s submission guidelines and overall relevance to the scope of IJRE. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria are returned to the authors without further review.
2. Editorial Evaluation: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to an appropriate editor with expertise in the relevant field. The editor performs a preliminary assessment to determine whether the manuscript is suitable for peer review.
3. Reviewer Selection: The editor selects two to three independent reviewers who are experts in the subject area of the manuscript. Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise, impartiality, and availability. Authors may suggest potential reviewers, but the final selection is at the discretion of the editor.
4. Double-Blind Review: IJRE employs a double-blind peer review process, where both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous to each other. This ensures an unbiased and objective review of the manuscript.
5. Review Criteria: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:
Originality and novelty of the research
   Scientific rigor and methodology
Clarity and coherence of the presentation
Relevance and significance to the field of renewable energy
Quality of data analysis and interpretation
   Appropriateness of the references cited
6. Reviewer Reports: Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations regarding the manuscript. They may suggest acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection. Reviewers' comments are shared with the authors to help them improve their work.
7. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor makes a decision on the manuscript. The possible decisions are:
Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication with no or minor revisions.
Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor changes before acceptance.
Major Revisions: The manuscript requires significant changes and will be re-evaluated after     resubmission.
Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in IJRE.
8. Revisions and Resubmission: Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers' comments and submit the revised version within a specified time frame. The revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
9. Final Decision: The editor reviews the revised manuscript and makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection. If necessary, additional rounds of review may be conducted.
10. Publication: Once accepted, the manuscript is processed for publication. Authors are notified of the acceptance and the anticipated publication date.

Ethical Standards:
• Confidentiality: All submissions are treated with the highest level of confidentiality throughout the review process.
• Conflict of Interest: Reviewers and editors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from the review process if necessary.
• Timeliness: IJRE is committed to providing timely feedback to authors. We strive to complete the peer review process within a reasonable timeframe while ensuring a thorough evaluation.
